sunday my new laptop is coming...it ll be a windows 7 home premium

finally i get rid of Vista and get to try much awaited W7.

firstly, is it true that its one of the best OS ever from MS?

also...is there any software to transfer all my settings from a Vista laptop?

i remember there was a software on Vista called 'Easy transfer' which helped get all settings from an XP laptop to a Vista laptop.

and last..does it really perform better than Vista on same hardware?

here are the specs of the laptop which i ordered:

    HP Pavilion DV6 1331TX
    Processor: Intel C2D P8700 2.53 Ghz
    Grafix: ATI HD4650 GDDR3 1TB VRAM
    HDD: 500 GB
    Screen 15.6" @ 720p
