Some questions about multiple drives and Easy Transfer?

    Okay, here's the deal:

My trusty Asus G73JH is, sadly, dying. I've randomly lost half my RAM slots, the wireless card's wigging out every few minutes or so, and one of the hard drives is starting to show signs of going south.

I have three drives on this machine. A 160GB SSD for the OS(x64 Win7), and two 640GB HDDs(one for games and other programs, the other for my documents, music, and movies). I have quite a bit of stuff to shuttle over.

I just ordered the G73's replacement, a Dell Precision M6700. After mods I'm going to have a 256GB mSATA SSD, two 1TB HDDs, and a 500GB HDD that came with the system; obviously much more space than the G73. The OS is also x64 Win7.

I'm planning on using Easy Transfer to get everything over as painlessly as possible. After running it once on the G73 I have about 650GB of data spread over three drives, not including programs.

So, what do I need to do to get this working correctly? My plans were to turn off the wireless cards on both systems and connect them using either a crossover cable or Ethernet cables attached to a hub. Will I be running into issues doing things this way, or have I thought this through to the point of being okay? I've done Easy Transfer between systems before, but never one spanning multiple hard drives.

Personally I would move as much data off on to separate drives. Simply put, I would rather have the least amount of data being moved via Easy Transfer. Then I would manually move the rest of the data over.

You already have a games/documents drive so you're mostly done anyway.
