This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    How much Ram use is normal for Vista? Basically even sitting at the desktop im seeing 50% of physicall memory usage.

    the system has 1gig in it right now, with no open slots.

    there is no such thing as "normal" for vista. It will try to use as much as it is available to manage system performance. The more ram u have available, the more vista will access it
