Given that in the past I have had a couple of items of malware (one put a hook in my Explorer.exe that kept making it restart after 3-5 seconds ) I am slightly paranoid now about the file structure on my XP partition...

I've been doing some housekeeping and have noticed that in the documents and settings folder I have an extra administrator folder, it's called Administrator.MORPHEUS1, MORPHEUS1 being what I've named my notebook...

Is this something I should be worried about, I have deleted it before but it keeps reappearing and is exactly the same as the Administrator folder?

Thanks in advance for any advice/help :)

did you manage to fix the explorer bug then? Anyway if you really are worried about virus' or trojans, try avira, which is the best free antivirus software IMHO.

Yeah the explorer bug was about a month ago now, I had to dl shellexview to find where the regsitry entries were so that I could neutralize them and to find which files were putting the reg entries there, took me about 2hrs of googling before I found out that I needed shellexview and what was actually happening...

I'm not worried about viri, as I have avira, AVG 8, Spybot, Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0, and a few others I have/can installed/install and run if I need to, something which I have spent the last week doing, as XP was running slow, so I did a full sweep using multiple programs (inlcuding hijack this and Trend Micros free online scanner and BitDefenders online scanner as well), nothing came up though, and I did it all in safe mode...

It's just bugging me that this folder keeps reappearing and the fact it's a user folder is kinda bothering me as well.

I'll delete it again and see if it reappears during normal use, I think it may just be where I'm logging in safe mode as the administrator but I'd appreciate it if anyone can shed some light on that? :)

tbh it may just be windows file protection kicking in. Any protected system files will just be replaced, if they are edited or deleted.
