I bought a Sony VAIO VGN-NR180e/w and downgraded the system to Windows XP (I have to run my college's softwares that only support XP). After days of searching and researching online, I got all the drivers except that for Fn hotkeys and S1 button.

I found a website which offers the downgrade drivers for some other sony models. http://www.sony-asia.com/subtype/us...category/it+personal+computer?site=hp_en_AP_i

I installed the ones for VGN-N2 and N3 by editing the model.txt on my computer. However, it still did not work.

Did anyone buy the same model as mine and figure out how to make the Fn keys and S1 key work?

Did anyone know which drivers are required to for Fn and S1 key?

    Please help me. Thanks

Same problem here, I have a VGN-NR21S with win xp without any driver/utils and I don't know what to install to make it work because no drivers/utils can be download from sony website for my model. I guess I have to download different model driver/utils to make it work but I don't know which one, plus I have to install it in a certain order which I don't know. Any ideas ??

I have the NR260 and I'm stuck at the beginning. I can't even install xp. When I boot from the xp install disk it says no hard drives found. Any help please.

Then the second question is after I install xp will the drivers in this forum work on my NR260.
