I needed some help with my BIOS screen. I'm trying to install Windows 7 on my computer from a USB, and one of the things I need to do is configure my computer to boot from my USB. Normally, it wouldn't be a problem, but today it is. You see, my laptop screen is broken, so I set it up to work with an external monitor. So, when I enter the BIOS screen, the VGA driver is obviously not accessed, and the monitor doesn't work. So I'm stuck in the BIOS screen without actually being able to see it, because of my broken laptop screen. Is there a way of circumventing this, and allowing the driver to be accessed, so I can actually see what I'm doing in the BIOS screen? Or maybe someone knows of a website with pictures of the actual BIOS settings. That way, I could guide myself with them. The screen is not completely broken. I can still see about 2 inches from the top down. My laptop is a Sony VAIO, running on Windows XP. Any help would be appreciated.

The only thing i can think of is to try booting and hit ESC to access the boot menu. you won't be able to see it but hopefully you can blindly press keys to select usb boot.
example:boot laptopnow im just guessing on how many times to press the down arrow. hdd should usually be the first or selection, so hopefully usb will be the third.
tap ESC a few times
press down arrow 3 times and hit enter
this video i found should kind of give you an idea.

I watched the video, and I think I'll try doing it like that. Hopefully, I hit the correct one or else I'm screwed haha. Thanks
