    Sony and VESMgr.exe Overload

    I just called Sony tech support and it seems that this one program causes spikes in my CPU usage.. VESMgr.exe when I called to let them know they killed all of the needless startup entries but it still spikes..he said it has something to do with their power setup..so the only way to troubleshoot is to reload the new laptop??

    Any advice before going this route?

    It's the Vaio Event Service, you can stop it and even disable it through Services manager, but then some things (like the shortcut buttons) dont work (read the descritpion of the service).
