I have a sony vaio c25 and its perfect besides one thing, the damn sound keeps lagging. Mp3s and movies play fine but when it comes to sound effects it lags. Like when i hold down a key that triggers a sound it will basically lag. lol so hard to explain . . . basically if i press the button 4 times you would expect 4 sounds instead it will go DI . . DI . . DI . . DING. lol don't know how to explain it any better, i have read suggestions of turning down the hardware audio accelleration but i have no idea where it is in vista.

if anyone one these forums can help me out it will be much apprechiated . . :D

I turn off all sounds in Vista, only slows performance at the end of the day. Have you tried updating all your drivers?

Open your task manager and monitor the activities to see what shoots up when your system lags.
