I am after a simple sound recorder- freeware download in which I can use with a microphone and be able to save it to MP3 file format so I can burn it as a music cd. Windows Recorder in XP simply doesnt cut it! (and can't record past 1 minute!)
    Thanks!

If your goal is simple and MP3, MP3DirectCut could fill the bill too.

If you have Nero - Nero generally comes with audio editing software.
