The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Looks like version 1.5 is in beta http://www.filehippo.com/download_spybot_search_destroy/

    Just installed it and will run the program shortly. Just as a heads up, the installer needs to be run while you are online (as it appears to retrieve files off of a Sybot S&D server before attempting installation)...............

    Well, I ran it and aside from the reworked updater, it appears no different functionally or physically. Scan speed seems to be about the same. Did not run into any problems, so I guess it is a good thing............... ;)
