As I am aware all of you know, you can pick this up with the google pack. You can uninstall the google software very easily and only download software doctor. It's really a nice deal. However there is one issue:

When I go to close SD it tells me that to completely close it down I must restart my pc. I looked through all the tasks after closing SD and I could not find any running tasks. Anyone know what this message is about? Is it taking up resources or what? I would like to be able to open it, scan files, then close it down without any lingering consequences. Thanks for your help.

You can also get it without the Google Pack, it just won't remove anything it might find. I ran it for quite awhile.

As for shut down, it probably has some tasks that start out of the registry and/or some services. I would look, but I no longer have it installed. There is the box in TaskMgr in the Processes tab to show processes from all users.
