    Hello,

    I'm looking for a standalone (that means no installer) software that lets me transfer files between two computers via a LAN (router).

    why not just setup a network and use network file sharing?

    you need to get "Cut and Paste" from Microsoft. you can activate it by hitting the Control + C (or X) and then Control + V.

    it's seriously like magic.

    I'm looking for this : You see your own computer's folder on one side and on the other side you see the other computer's folder. You drag the files from one side to another. I use to have a program like this, but I forgot its name......

    I believe you can browse your other computer through Windows Explorer.

    Once you setup the network, just right click a folder you want to share and click "sharing and security". select "share this folder" and youre all done.
