So whenever I try to "Start Maintenance" on my AW17 (specs below), I get no response other than the time/date last run reverts to the current time/date. It's as if the maintenance was done instantly. Apart from a problem with my graphics card which I am working on thru Dell, there are no other major windows abnormalities.

    Any ideas?

If there are no other "abnormalities" then why are you doing the maintenance?

There were a few things not working right actually. It's my sons laptop and he never gives the automatic maintenance chance to run, hasn't turned off. So I do it occasionally manually while he's in school.

Either way, I gave up and fully reinstalled windows. Annoying but it fixed it.
