The start orb on my computer would occasionally stop working. When I moved my cursor over it, it does not light up. No matter how many times I clicked on it, the start menu just would not pop up. I have a 64 bit notebook, but this has never occurred on my 32 bit desktop. Does anyone know what is wrong with my computer?

whens occasionally? Try to find out whats triggering this problem.

Is it during times of high cpu usage, or will it occur even if you haven't been stressing your cores? Perhaps this issue only occurs when a certain app is open?

You're gonna have to do a little more digging on your part before we can diagnose the issue.

If you're not sure where to start, try this:
-every time the orb wont respond, write down all the apps you have open at the moment.
    -look for a pattern

Sigh... I already reinstalled windows before I saw your post. So far the start orb hasn't malfunctioned, I hope it stays that way.
