    Hi all,
I started getting a blue screen last sunday (twice, once on sunday and once on tuesday). So I removed the program I installed on Sunday night. Everything seemed fine untill last night when I was about to shut down my computer, the screen just flashed and went straight onto my password log on screen. When I got back onto my desktop I ran a scan using Malwarebytes, and just before the scan finished my computer froze and blu screened again. I have no idea what to do, and I don't fancy doing a re-install if not needed.
Any help would be great thanks.

    Thank you very much.

The program was deamon tools lite.
I only seem to have the problem when running Malwarebytes now. It will get towards the end of the scan and freeze then blue screen. I will try to uninstall / reinstall malwarebytes to see if this helps.
It couldn't be a virus stopping mbam from working could it?

always worth using Who Crashed which gives a report on what software/hardware caused the dreaded bsod.

Cheers MrDJ, nifty little program that. According to the report it was a graphics driver, did a little Googling and the assumption was that it was needing updated. Updated and had no probs since (touch wood).
+rep for the prog and the assistance.
    Cheers guys / girls.

Hi Albert and welcome to nbr.
ill try and help but as this is a old thread you might not get many replys here. try posting in the dedicated Acer section HERE

have you tried various discs.cd's and dvd's.
after a few minutes go to start in bottom left and click on my computer. in your (most probably) D drive and double click on it. if that does nothing then right click on it and press run or open. if that does nothing then i have no idea sorry. could be a dodgy disc or knakered drive.
