Well, I just did a clean install of xp, and when I open up task manager, it shows 99% idle cpu, but 60% cpu usage (goes from around 20 - 65) :

Nothing is using that much cpu, could it be a virus? I don't think it is because it was like that before I even installed the network drivers...

    Please Help

It's most likely the idle taks that windows does (such as defrag).

Don't you have to switch between the Processes and Performance tab to look at CPU idling percentage and CPU usage? If so, switching is probably what causes the spike.

No, it's not a spike, it stays like that constantly.
I think I know what it is now, in processexplorer, it show that DPC (Deferred Procedure Calls) and Hardware Interrupts are using the cpu (don't show up in task manager) And since i used newer drivers when I installed xp, I am going to try reverting to the older ones/ celan installing and using the older ones.

Check "Show Processes from all Users" in the Processes Window in TaskMgr.
And you can click on the CPU tab once or twice, to arrange the processes according to CPU usage.

Problem fixed after uninstalling audio and video drivers, now I'm going to clean install with the old drivers from the soulpass guide (woooooooo 5315)
