I am trying to run benchmarks on my hard drive but I am getting weird looking results. The transfer rate plummets and then goes back up every 5 seconds and it gradually decreases as the test goes on.

it looks like you might have a program accessing your hdd as you run the benchmark, like a virus killer, or something else.

try disabling all startup item in msconfig then try again.

    but be carfull.

    regards.

    John.

Is there any way/program to see what is accessing the HDD?
