    Hi everyone,
I notice something quite strange with Vista. If I type in the password and log into an account immediately during the initial boot everything loads speedily. However, if I wait at the log on screen for about 1-2 minutes before logging in, the startup programs will load very slowly. Any idea?

    Thanks!

Just a guess : maybe your HDD powers down in 1 or 2 mins of inactivity.
