My system log on screen (boot) password dialog box ON MY DELL 9300 disappeared. All the other info boxes are there. I CAN just go ahead and type in the system password and get on, however, so it's no major problem.

I noticed the password dialog box disappearance occurred after a system suspend failure to return to Windows requiring a POWER OFF. That was probably caused by an unattended 'allow or disallow' dialog box from my firewall, which was constantly a problem caused by REAL or MCAFEE somehow getting their auto-checks to re-run despite my disabling them numerous times in startup and the firewall.

    Enuf *****ing ...

Does anyone know what file I might replace or other procedure to get that password dialog box back?
