    All:

I have a Dell Studio 1555. I installed Win7 RC1 32 bit a few days ago. Something has come up that I've never seen before: Internet Explorer 8 works just fine. The newest Opera works just fine. The latest Firefox downloads and installs, but when I double click on it to run the program, the program never opens. I go into Task Manager and under 'Processes' I see that Firefox is running, but it never actually opens on the desktop. I've tried uninstalling it, running a registry cleaner, rebooting and reinstalling. No dice. I've tried installing an older version of Firefox 3.x. No dice. Firefox is NOT blocked by the firewall program. The program just doesn't open.

This is just plain weird and I have no idea what's going on. Please help.

    AV1611 out......

    try running as administrator maybe?

    try Firefox forums also.

(to run as admin. right click on Firefox and click Run as admin...)

Run as admin does nothing for me. Have even tried to run as Vista SP2 and XP SP3 compatibility mode. No dice.
