I am using Word 2002. I am writing a reserach paper for college. My spell check is not working, but it is only on this particular document. I typed some notes and spell check was working. I copied and pasted it onto a new document, and it still is not working. I checked the spell check options and the box is check for "check while typing". When i click spell check, it tells me there is a missing file. It says, "cannot find MSSpell3.dll or mssp232.dll for." then it says "cannot find msgr??32.dll for."

i really need spell check! any ideas?

I would do a repair on the MS Office using your original disc. Some system file probably got wiped out (but I have no idea how).

I found the disk! It was packed but not gone yet. I did the repair( Help: detect and repair), but it still said the files were missing. Should i uninstall and reinstall?

How about copying and pasting it here for spellcheck as a last resort? Grammar might be tricky though...

Search the hard drive for the original file. Even though it is corrupt it will still be there. Copy it over.

Ohh! Oh! I helped a man at work with this problem a couple weeks ago! For him, anytime he tried spell checking a document off his SanDisk jump drive, it wouldn't work, but if he copied the document to the desktop and worked on it from there it was fine. We ended up deciding there was something wrong with his drive cuz it happened across multiple machines and only when it was running off his jump drive, documents running off my jump drive or the local machine worked fine. The computers at work all run Office XP.
