I want 64 bit Windows. Didn't get it from my NP8130 reseller because it was $80. I heard students can get it for like $30.

Is that through my school or online? Anyone have any ideas?

Check to see what your school offers. I just got Windows 7 Professional 64bit for $70 from my college (the only stipulation being it is an upgrade so I needed XP or Vista on my computer).

You probably should have done research before buying the computer though. Because if there isn't a way for you to get a discount, that $80 is cheaper than spending $100 for the same thing.

You can join some organization like IEEE or ACM.

Their College/University student membership is $16 for a half a year.
But it includes their MSDNAA which has Windows 7 Pro SP1 Full OEM.
No additional charge for download only but for media is an extra $26 + s/h

I actually thought my cousin still has his Windows 7 disc but it appears he can't find it. So now I need to buy my own.
