The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     ok guys......something quite strange has happened, and i got no clue what is going on......

    so, i just got and installed an external 2.5" drive.....no biggy, everything works just fine.....but........

    after using it --- my Logitech mouse and the Asus synaptic touchpad
    seem to be getting all messed up......

    here is what happens.....every time.....

    logitech settings (speed, button presets, etc....) all working 100% good...until i open "My Computer" either through win explorer, direct call, whatever...once "my computer" opens, all the mouse functions (speed, etc..) for some reason revert to the asus touchpad......and when i close the my computer window, all returns to normal logitech settings....

    i have absolutely no clue why this would happen......anyone got anything?

    EDIT: and i also just noticed -- it happens whenever the "my computer" window is visible, if i minimize, all logitech settings return....
