This belongs in the Windows forum, requesting a move. In any case, i haven't used it before, mostly because it's not free. I quite enjoy having free themeing in Ubuntu without hacks. :D

Free trials aren't anything at all unless you intend to only like for about 14 days. I like everything i use to be free, and open source is a plus so i can muck with it if i want to.

have tried this earlier when i still had xp 32 on my old notebook.
using a theme and a login screen is quite nice actually and you have plenty to choose from, but when it comes to the boot screen you should really be careful.

this option makes changes to the kernel and if something goes wrong you end up with destroyed kernel and will have to reinstall windows.

and another thing that really bugged me then was in some cases there were trojans hiding a certain .exe file. usually you do not need any executable to use a theme. after downloading some themes from various sites i have found such a trojan in a lot of the offered packages.

be aware what you are doing, unless you´d like to invite somebody to intrude your computer. check those files, before you are using them.

I changed my boot screen with resourcehacker manually. It is obviously more work, but it eliminates the riskiness of some random software messing with your computer.
