    I wanted to know what refresh frequencies are supported on sony vaio FE with nVidia Go 7600 ?

    I bought my Vaio in Japan with Japanese Vista.Then I installed win XP over it and installed all the drivers.I get 1200*800 at 60 Hz only .Is that expected.Is there any driver for the notebook display ?

    I too have the Sony Vaio FE (790G) US Version. I'm only allowed 1280x800 @ 60Hz as well.

    60Hz is what the LCD refreshes at. But due to the difference between the way a CRT and an LCD displays, 60Hz is all you need. You don't get flicker on an LCD like you do a CRT, so you don't need faster than 60Hz. Turn on vsync on any games, and you should be fine.
