Hi there, I have a Synaptics touchpad on my Presario R4000, and I've enabled the Tap Zones, which allow me to maximize or minimize a window just by tapping the pad near the corners. The lower left corner is assigned to the start menu, and I wanted to have the top left corner for the Alt+Tab key combination. I scrolled through the list of predefined actions, and that one was nowhere to be found. I was happy to see the program would allow me to record a series of keystrokes and play them whenever I tapped that area of the touchpad. But when I try to record the Alt+Tab combination, the windows (xp) window manager pops up and the program doesn't record the keystrokes.

Is there a workaround for this? :(

are u trying to record the keystrokes without having a couple windows open and actually tabbing between them?

Yeah, I closed all the windows but that one, and it still didn't work. I guess windows intercepts the keycombo before the program does. Kinda dumb that they don't offer it as a predefined combination, but instead offer the 4 arrow keys as predefined =/

    i think you misunderstand:

first, have a couple windows open that you can actually tab between. then try to record the keystrokes.

sometimes when you try to record a macro in Word, you have to actually replicate the exact conditions that you want the macro to reproduce. maybe it's the same way for what you're trying to do.

Oh, no... That doesn't work. The program only records keystrokes that are sent to its window. That's why it stops recording when I press Alt+Tab, because it loses focus. :(
