I just tried out the Synaptics Touchpad Driver version 16.2.21. I think this version was released for Win 8. Synaptics said that it will work in Win 7, so I figured I would give it a try on my Win 7 laptop.

It worked, however settings under 16.2.21 omitted some of my favorite settings. The main setting that I employ, that the new driver omitted, is the Sensitivity (Palm Check, and Touch).

Or did I miss something in the new driver settings? Is anybody using the new 16.2.21 driver version, and can you tell me where the sensitivity setting is? Possibly, I missed a > (carrot) under Pointing?

Here are 2 screen shots, one 15.3.31, and the other 16.2.21.

    Thanks,

I'm seeing Palm Check under Pointing > Palm Check in the Settings on the 16.2.21 driver.

Thank you! Guess I didn't spend enough time to explore the new driver. :err:

As Emily Litella said, "Never mind".

Can I use this driver for my Dell Vostro V13 Touchpad? I need to find the accelerometer driver which controls HDD shock/drop sensor for that laptop as well. :hi2:

OK, so you're running Windows 8? Tell us how that driver works. Thanks.
