New drivers that apparently work even with the left swipe in Win8. Be prepared for slow download :).

    Drivers | Synaptics

    XP, Vista, Win7, Win8 - both 32 and 64bit 111MB!

    Cheers,

    Ivan

P.S. Downloading... I will post my findings when I install on my Acer 8942g.

Yes it works, but left swipe is still not intuitive or easy. I set sensitivity to Light touch and the gesture that works on mine is:

    1. touch (a bit harder than usual) on the left rim of the touchpad at about 2/3 of the touchpad height
    2. pull the finger into the touchpad area (you will feel the rim)
    3. hold your finger pressed down for at least half sec
    4. swiftly swipe to the right for a centimeter or so

This way I get like 80% success.

If I pull my finger slowly all the way out of the rim into the touchpad I get around 50% success.

Still not working as nice as right (charm) swipe or top swipe.

Well at least they are improving... And yes the more I use it - I get better and actually use more of this gesture app switching in win8.

    Cheers.
