I was just wondering if it is possible to sync a desktop and a laptop in a similar way to a PC and PDA. Is there any software that can handle this. I'm thinking along the lines of outlook and files eg docs or powerpoint files.

I believe Laplink supports this functionality (http://www.laplink.com). It's a remote control and file transfer package a la PC Anywhere. I'm pretty sure there are others, but that's a starting point.

It depends on what you want to do. I use Briefcase for files, Laplink looks much more sophisticated. I still haven't seen an app to keep Outlook sync'd though. To me, that seems like a million dollar app if someone makes it.
