    So I am trying to install a new program, and it wont let me open it up once I install it because it says I need to be an administrator to install the program. and to contact a system administrator for assistance...

    I am a admin on my laptop..... so this makes no sense at all to me
    someone care to explain what is going on and what to do.

    I'm guessing Vista and I'd say right click on the app icon (or the .exe) and select Run As Administrator from the context menu...
