    I use a T420 (upgraded core I7 quad core, 12gB ram, 256gB solid state)
I currently dual boot win7 pro and kali linux. I've stuck with win7 cause it's what I know, and never had a reason to upgrade.

Is it worth the upgrade if I already have a win10 license, even if I have no particular "reason" to run 10?

If I had the storage space to give up, I'd run triple boot, but my 256gB is my only storage space. I need to replace my 1tB ultra bay that took a crap...

Also how much space does win10 take compared to win7? I currently have hibernate disabled, and page file set to start out at 1gB, so my win7 install only totals around 20gB if I recall correctly..... However my drive stays just about packed after my 30gB linux partition, and my 30gB over provisioning partition

Size-wise, my OS install + a few other programs totals about 40Gb. Windows 10 is quite decent, I've found. I still prefer 8.1 but It's MUCH better than 7.

I guess I'm gonna take the dive. Backing up some downloads currently then to install win10 and learn how to install dual boot kali linux in UEFI! lol

Ugh my girls laptop doesn't have gigabit lan, boo, going to take over an hour to backup my laptop to hers... I kind of just assumed a laptop purchased in 2016 would have gigabit lan! lol (I'd yank her drive out and slap it in my ultra bay, but I've already replaced her drive once, and you gotta disassemble the entire friggin toshiba to remove it) agh lol
