Hello,
I have t60 lap and my computer has been updated with all windows and lenovo update.
in spite of that, i didn't see any configuration about hibernate, APM and standby. (control panel>power option)
theis is anyone that was experience with this issue?

Check and see if any of your devices in the Device Manager have any warning symbols or if there are any devices that are not recognized. If you have something wrong (or missing) in there the APCI functionality that controls standby and hibernate might not work.
Also, run Windows Update to look for any driver updates.
Make sure the BIOS are the latest revision.
I know you've checked some of this, but those three things are the most common causes for that functionality to disappear. I'd do all three (again) just to make sure. I hope that helps. -
thanks a lot but i tried to do all of this but still not working.

i think you need the lenovo power management driver installed. if its a new install of windows, i'd try again, they should appear after the round of updates.

lenovo power management driver has been installed...
still not working -
It might be a device driver conflict. See

thanks but this is not working.
Hibernate and APM tabs are not appear in control panel - > power option. -
Did you have the standby and hibernate options when you first got the laptop?
Did you install any drivers lately? Did you try looking into the bios to see if APM is enabled?
Can you create/login as another user and see if you get the standby and hibernate option? -
1. Yes, hibernate button was presented.
2.Just updated all driver when APM and hibernate tabs were disappeared.
3.No APM configurations are appearing in bios options. -
So it's one of the drivers that's causing the conflict then. I'd start by looking at device manager and try reinstalling the drivers one at a time.

Doesn't Lenovo/IBM use their own power management (which overides the windows version)? I remember my T41 had it... Check for Lenovo/IBM power management tool under start menu > all programs > etc.. and see if there are options for hibernate & standby.
It may also help if you ask in the Lenovo/IBM section of the forums.
T60 - windows xp - No hibernate and standby, why?
