I have a brand new T61 with 2 GB ram and Vista Ultimate. My computer is not an impressive performance machine but with 2.3ghz and 2gb memory its enough to get the job done. Lately, I have been having problems with wireless and the networks and I think it has a lot to do with Sleep. I have googled sleep networking problems and seen a lot of people having this problem but no help. My wireless now stays on when come back from sleep instead of being off and having to restart my computer. Its on but it wont connect to any networks and when I click on find WLAN it shows no networks in the area when there are plenty to choose from. Also when I hold my mouse over the two computer network icon in the task bar it says " Connection Status: Unknown" and " Server execution failed" (this is after I restart the computer and the internet works). When I click on the start menu and then 'connect to', it takes several minutes for it to come up if it does at all. When I click on 'Network' out of the start menu, a blank window frame appears with nothing else but a square and a red X, then several minutes the proper network window appears. Please help me because all of this is very frustrating, having to restart just to get wireless to work, and also 'Network' and 'Connect to' takes forever. Im sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I am also posting in Network section.
