No dead pixels for me
-
i thought dead pixels couldn't be ressurected? only stuck pixels
-
Mincing words. Those terms are often used interchangeably.
-
oh, I see. they shouldn't be though since those 2 terms refer to 2 specific things. A dead pixel is dead, nothing can be done, it is also black. a stuck pixel can be in any color, but mostly the primary colors. Those can be massaged away (as i had to do) or will just dissapear on their own

I don't know why anyone would want to go looking for dead pixels if they couldn't see them without the program only to be annoyed after finding them?
I have a 4 year old Viewsonic flat panel monitor, 2 laptops and a 26" LCD/HDTV. I don't see them while using them them so I see no need for this program. -
If you find them when you get the thing new, you can often return it and get another one which doesn't have the problem. Doing that is good for the consumer, because it gives companies an economic reason to make better products. If you just accept any crap they give you, there's no reason to fix the problems.

Touche'
I was referring to a product a person has had for a while or a product you can't visibly see a defect. To me if I can't see a problem i'm not going to worry about it. OTOH I bought a PSP when they were first released back in 2005. I bought 3 units and all three I could see stuck pixels, so I got my money back. Some of the screens were worse than others. My point is if I don't see a problem i.e. dead or stuck pixel i'm not going to bother looking for them because to my eyes they don't exist.

that's the point, we all hope we would never need it, but then, at least a "Kinda" solution is available for some
