I'm trying to get used to having the taskbar on the top, but every time I restart, it defaults itself back on the bottom. How do I make it stay up there?

Ok, could you tell us which steps you take to switch it to the top? i.e. which settings do you change and how do you do it...
Thanks... -
Did you try dragging it up there, and then Locking it?

I just dragged it up there. I did try locking it, but it resets to the bottom still.

My guess is it's something that's not quite been worked out yet. I like the taskbar on the bottom myself, but I've noticed that Windows Media Player 12 doesn't remember when I close it in fullscreen or windowed mode - it just goes back to windowed when I start it again. Mildly annoying, but not deal-breaking. Probably both things that'll be sorted out by the final release. Compared to what could be happening in a beta (like the corrupted mp3 files some people experienced and I still haven't patched
), they're both fairly minor, if not ideal.

I haven’t experienced this issue myself, and happily have the Taskbar on the right, but since you are running beta-quality code don’t forget to click the Send feedback button and tell them of your issue. Hopefully Microsoft actually reads these.

when i set up quick launch for the taskbar it also resets back to default on reboot, and yes i do remember to lock the taskbar after i have made my changes.
Taskbar resets to bottom after a restart?
