Is there a program that measures CPU, Harddrive, and GPU temperatures, and possibly controls the fan, that isn't Centrino Hardware Control? I don't need undervolting, and recently I've been getting errors in prime95 for even minor undervolting, so I've been scared off that.

MobileMeter is a good utility to monitor your temps. It doesn't control the fan though, but does everything else.

You can use HDTune to measure your hard drive temperature.

And for Mac OS X there exists another temperature monitor and hardware monitor software:

This one works very well on my i9300 -
how does the fangui work on your 9300??...it doesn't say it works for the 9300...only the 9100 and 9200 of the 9xxx series notebooks...?? -
You are right it does say that it only works on some of the older models. At the time i was hoping that he just didnt test it on the i9300 or maybe update his site, so i decided to try it. It seems to work fine.
You can turn them on constant or off or select different profiles. you can create your own profile with what temps you want them to turn on and at what speed they run at those temps. I like it.
I do notice that it does not read all of the sensors for some of the functions of the software (maybe those are not compatable with i9300) but for controlling the fans and watching temps it seems to work great.
I do notice he has a warranty disclaimer on the site, I assume this is a standard thing because you are altering the speed of fans. If someone turn off the fans because they were noisey and fried their laptop, he did not want to get sued.
But for me, i did not like how hot my laptop got, and noise does not bother me, so i have mine turn on sooner.
Now i have been running this software for about 3 months and i really like it.
But i think it only works for Dells :dell: -
ooo...ok..coool..but i'll wait a while when it gets to be a problem..right now it's not a problem yet
