This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I've always used Kaspersky it's hands down the best anti-virus out there.

    I personally suggest NOD32.The Fastest and the most secure antivirus software I have found. But anyway this is not a freeware. If you want a freeware then I suggest AVG.

    AVG for me (though I have the Professional version, :D ). Doesn't hog your memory and won't go "crazy" when you open/close programs.

    For some reason, I'm having trouble with AVG's automatic update getting "stuck" at bootup. I've tried various measures to no avail, so I may give AntiVir a shot. I tried Avast, but it seems to conflict with CCleaner.
