So you have a lot of data on your computer ranging from documents, pictures, movies, software, games, etc.

You can simply copy everything and paste it on an external hard drive or USB Flash Drive but what happens when you delete some files or add some files on your computer, how are you gonna replicate those same changes (the files you deleted and newly copied files) to your external media? Deleting everything off the external media and recopying them again from scratch can be a very time consuming job especially if you have a lot of stuff that you're backing up.

Ditto what Mr. Fox wrote a few posts up! SyncBack works like a charm and saves a lot of time; what a cool add-on.

And once again, my thanks to you, @Phoenix, :hi: for taking the time (not just in the video, I mean hands-on) to help me understand how it works so I can deal with it (if and) when the time comes! I really appreciate it.

    This vs freefilesync, what's better?

ALSO does syncback support long file names without giving and error and messing up the transfer?
    Thanks
