Which is the best client for bit torrent? By this I mean: fastest downloads/uploads. Also, maybe, tons of special options.

Azureus or uTorrent are both great torrent clients. Azureus is very customizable but more complicated and requires that the user get their hands dirty with the intricacies of optimizing to get the most out of the client. uTorrent is simpler to use but it offers fewer configuration options. Both are very fast clients, although I have achieved my fastest dl speeds with uTorrent b/c I had trouble configuring my router for Azureus.

I prefer microtorrent (utorrent) It's tiny and does what I need it to do. Azureus is good, but bloated (IMO)

As far as speed, almost any average-quality bit-torrent app will be as good as another. What makes one better is custimizability, resource consumption, and how well you can connect to peers (some clients are incompatible with each other). As mentioned, Azureus and utorrent are the two best. Azureus is programmed in Javascript, and so is highly resource consuming (not bloated since there's a difference). utorrent is far lighter and more efficient, but doesn't have as much customizabiliy as Azureus. Try them both and just use whichever fulfills you needs. I chose Azureus after comparing it against utorrent, BitComet, BitTornado, and BitTorrent.

From what I understand of AZ, it is a good thing to customize the upload speed in such an exact way that you can get the best DL speed: right? The problem I have is wireless. My WiFi will dip in speed obviously and therefore can't get consistant DL speeds. One moment I'm DLing a file at 350kb/sec and then it goes to 78kb/sec, then 50kb, then jumps 300+ again. just my setup?

uTorrent for Windows (super-light, great options)

Azareus for Linux (heavy, bloated, constipated. yeah. But there isn't a uTorrent for Linux yet. Still, Azareus was first in the market for implementing great features and add-ons)

With torrents, speeds tend to fluctuate anyway as new peers/seeds join/leave. I have experienced the same issue and i'm not using wireless, so it isn't just your setup.

The customizing varies with the torrent, internet connection, and your results. I found that I could get sufficient speeds without limiting uploading speed, but limiting could easily benefit other people. You would have to 'play around' until you found the best settings.

Uhm I use my laptop for torrent downloading but the problem is since I use wireless so i can't forward my port, uTorrent and Azureus can't contact to my router. Any suggestions or solutions ? Thanks

I just downloaded uTorrent and I like the interface. I used to use (maybe still will) AZ but I like how it doesn't suck down my resources.

You need access to the router (ie, its IP address, admin name and passphrase) to set up port forwarding.

Take a look at portforward.com for instructions on how to configure your ports.

I've used both Azureus and Utorrent, and definitely prefer Azureus over Utorrent.
