    I get this message "The color scheme has been changed to Windows Vista Basic" whenever I try to install MAXON Cinema 4d.

    You're probably trying to install an old program that's not compatible with Aero for some unknown reason. It'll still work, and Windows will re-enable Aero when you close the program. I get this sometimes, I just deal with it.
