    The default "start navigation" click sound just stopped in IE9

    Any idea why this would happen? I'm reasonably sure it was working fine before, but I may just be imagining things and it was never there to begin with.

    EDIT: It's still playing correctly in Windows Explorer, though.

    Wow, I wouldn't have caught that one. Personally, I hate the StartNav sound. It's the first thing I disable. When I got this laptop, last year, I kept hearing this annoying noise every time I clicked on something. Lots of clicks = lots of noises. Ugh.

    Though I understand that some people just like chocolate over vanilla, it never crossed my mind that anyone could love the StartNav sound. :p

    For some of us who use the touch pad "tap" instead of a left button click, the sound is important. Sometimes I don't tap hard enough and the OS doesn't recognize it as a click. Having the sound gives feedback to let me know when that has occurred.
