See if this is helpful to you..
I can't post links yet, but if you put in the obvious it should get you there or just do a search on Google. -

Have you updated avira before taking a full system scan? If you had AD-Aware SE maybe you could do a spyware check. I had a peace of mind after I got Avira in my system.

I have been dealing with a MASSIVE infection of this worm at work. It spreads through USB connections and is hidden well. Check Your system32 file for strange files, also it calls itself RUNDLL32. Also it mutates if connected to internet and renames then spreads, so disconnect while working on it. I have had success with NOD32, in combination with Malwarebytes. There is some manual deletion that can be done using Hijackthis. It's actually an old worm called LDPINCH that has been modified. DO NOT INSERT ANY EXTERNAL HDD AS IT WILL SPREAD. I even found it on a IPod. If you can use a system with linux (Ubuntu) it will not spread to that system, and you can clean any flash drives, externals, etc that have been used while infected. DVD's are safe for backup.
The operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer
