Mines broken. I don't know how but it happened between 2am this morning and now but all i've been doing on here is playing TF2 for an hour or so.

When I search for something like "Paint" I get a "No Items Match Your Search" but it's right there in the Start Menu. I've had a brief look at the Indexing options in the Control Panel to try and sort it and set "Start Menu" and "Users" to restore defualts but that hasn't helped, i've also just rebuilt the "Start Menu" index but when I tried searching for Paint or cmd I get a "No Items Match Your Search"

Oh the "Windows Search" service is also Automatic and Started but again, the search doesnt work...

I've also noticed when I search and no results come up an option to "Search Everywhere" and "Search the Internet" appear, I clicked the everywhere option and the Paint shortcut appears. The address bar says that it's a "Search Results in Indexed Locations".

So now i'm really confused, Any Ideas?

    Thanks

Control Panel > Sys & Maint > Indexing Options

Make sure "Start Menu" is listed under Included Locations.

If so, then click the "Advanced" button, and then click the "Rebuild" button to rebuild the index.
