    Hello
I have my Sony laptop model VGN-SZ780 with Windows Vista Business. Recently I get the following message every time I turn the computer on:

"the system is adjusting LCD display, and wait for around 2 min"

Also in text mode like when doing checkdisk or safe mode, you will notice a smaller window at the center of screen. Of course after normal booting, although we may see a fitted window on the entire screen, that message still appears and lasts for 2 minutes. I am also administrator of the system. Do you have any suggestion how to fix this problem?

    thanks

This should only happen on the first startup.

It may be an idea to try to reinstal the screen checking utility?
It should be possible to download that utility from the Sony website.

It may also be an idea to try to reinstal the displaydrivers from the Sony website.

Do you get this message on the X3100 or the 8400M GS?

I know it appears on the X3100 - I don't remember for the 8400m GS.
