I have this real nice White and subtle blue theme on my computer but the black and blue WMP is ruining it. I have tried to find some other themes/skins for WMP11 but can't find anything even close. Does anyone know any good sites to look through? (I am using XP SP3)

Use Winamp, much better theme support, lighter on resources, plenty of plug-ins, supports thousands of online audio and video channels, FREE, the list goes on..... 10x better than WMP11 in all aspects.

What you are looking for are 'Skins' for Windows Media Player. If you hit up google, you'll find 1000s of them. Or you can hit up Microsoft's site by going under Windows Media Player/ Tools/ Download/ Skins.

Edit: I'm not a fan of Winamp either. Mainly because Windows Medai Player provides TONS of functionality for my needs. The library sharing also comes in handy as it allows my playlists to sync from one computer to another.

Whenever I look for "Skins" its only for the smaller mode, I want "full mode" themes, not just the skin mode ones.

    Just off topic:
Maybe that has changed now, but I think up to version 5.3 I found Winamp to be much heavier on resources than Windows Media Player on my old Pentium M 1,6Ghz Centrino... (at least for playing music...)

    And Windows Media Player:
You could just change the colour of Windows Media Player.
German: "Ansicht" - "Erweiterungen" - so it schould be something like "Extensions" in the second step.

i prefer winamp also, and the latest versions don't have any problems, they don't crash and it's not that heavy on resources

Whenever I try to use the WMP11 Skins I have to go into program files/Windows Media Player/Skins, in order to get them to work because when I go to the "choose skins" section inside of WMP is doesn't apply them. Every time I close out WMP it automatically sets the skin back to default. Having to go through my files and resetting my skin every time I start it up is too much work.

Really? No thanks. Trying to configure it to look decent is a real pain. It is much easier to just use Winamp and download a premade theme.

Grazie mille! I've been looking for this for the longest time! First time anyone's ever said how to do it! Thanks also to Supercujo for asking again; I'd grown resigned to the lack of a solution.

Also thanks for answering with respect to WMP - I've always found it most annoying when someone specifically asks about WMP (or some other software) and then 60% of the replies are about Winamp (or some other software).
