    Hi, people!!!
I apologize to everyone if I did not hit topic!
I just bought ThinkPad Edge E530 NZQA2GE - i5-3210, I'm new in this area and i have a little problem.

I have a 500 GB HDD + 16 GB SSD, and I want to put on it Windows7 Profesional SP1 and Ubuntu

My querstion is: What is the best way to create a partition on the HDD + SSD for both of these operating systems?

    thanks in advance

16 GB is incredibly small, and is the recommended minimum for Windows 7 Pro. Ubuntu, on the other hand, only requires 5 GB (for the Desktop version), so you should be able to get away with installing that on the SSD with no problems.

I would recommend getting at least a 64 GB SSD if you want to install just one OS onto it - but if you want to have both operating systems on the SSD on two partitions, WITH your programs as well, then you'll need to go higher than 64 GB for it to be practical.

Otherwise, for now, if you plan to stick with the 16 GB SSD, then you can put Ubuntu on there; you just won't have much room for your programs.
