i have problems with audio drivers. i;ve installed Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio, then it detected new hardware and asked location of audio driver. it is located here:
    C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AUDIO\SMAXWDM\W2K_XP

but it doesn't work. it says:
"The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software"

It sounds like the audio card is not an up to date model. You need to try downloading an updated R61 audio driver from Lenovo. By the way, why do you need to install the audio drivers, don't they come installed by default?
