What external monitor has a good color gamut?

I have MBP and the HP that costed $430 and the color of the MBP is much better.
So I wanted to buy an external monitor that has color at least as good as MBP or better.

    Could you recommend one?

Uh, yeah. I can imagine. :)

Look for something that advertises 16.7M color depth or more, along with a high contrast ratio. If it advertises the NTSC gamut, look for something with 95%+. IPS displays will offer up better quality for the most part, but there are some very good TN displays as well.
