Hey all. I have a ASUS G750JX rocking a core I7-4700HQ and GTX 770m. I did a fresh install of Windows 8.1 and I installed everything flawlessly.

When I installed the latest nvidia drivers I got the error attached saying "This error caused the PC to restart" everytime that I turned my PC off. Note that nothing happens. I turn my laptop off, and when I turn it on I get that message right away. I close it and everything seems fine.

I've tried formatting, installing Windows again, different versions of the graphic drivers, not installing GeForce Experience, etc.

Before installing windows I had the same version of the graphic drivers installed and everything worked well.

I know it's a minor issue but the reason I installed Windows fresh in the first place was so I wouldn't get those minor issues, as I was getting some.

    Can anyone help? Thanks!

PS: Error print screen is in Portuguese. Translation:

    AN ERROR OCCURRED
This error caused your PC to restart. You can send these informations to Microsoft bla bla.
FILES THAT WILL BE SENT TO MICROSOFT

    C:\Windows\..........
    C:\Users\........

And then it's mostly irrelevant stuff explaining why you should send that data to microsoft.

Did you use the Nvidia GPU check to match your GPU? Your version is 376.33 as of Wed Dec 14, 2016.

Yes, when I said "latest drivers" I meant the latest drivers supported by my GPU. At the time of the previous post it was 376.16 I believe. I've installed the new one, 376.33 but the issue persists...

The it starting to sounds like you got GPU problems. When was the last time you cleaned the internals and redid the thermal paste?

Unfortunately I can't do that as the GPU is soldered to the motherboard (remember it's a laptop). I did however open it up and gave the (massive) fans a blow to clean them up. They weren't that dirty though...

The thermal paste would go on top of the GPU (and under the heat sink), not between the GPU and the mobo...

Indeed, you're completely right, my brain froze for a moment. I've tried running a GPU as well as a CPU stress test and no issues were found, temps stayed normal. Will try running it for longer though.
