Just a quick info to maybe help you guys out. quick system specs are
alienware 18 laptop
i7 4930MX @ 4.1ghz one core 4.0 when running all 4 cores
32 gigs of memory stock 1600speed and timings
two nvidia GTX 780M's in SLI (flashed bios)- issue happened before bios flash and has happened when overclocked, stock speeds, and when sli turned off)
Chrome is installed on one of my Raid 0 array. Same array as my windows 7 ( 2 samsung pro series 512GB SSD)
I have uninstalled chrome completely and reinstalled it. I also have uninstalled my windows 7 and reinstalled it completely (for a different reason). Have also tried beta versions of flash and chrome. IT HAPPENS ALWAYS!!!.
THis video is the annoying noise /freezing/makes me want to punch my alienware piece of crap. the video was just a youtube video and the video will freeze as well as the mouse and you will hear this loud annoying sound you hear in this video every single time!. can't ctrl+alt+del either. only way out is to hold down the power button till it restarts..
Does anyone have any ideas? Please don't say use internet explorer. I really don't like it, and chrome only gives me problems when on youtube. For some reason facebook videos linked to youtube don't cause the lock up. very strange. anyway just figured i'd throw it out there and see if any of you have came across the same issues.
Also i have no idea why the video is sideways after i uploaded it to this side. it just makes it that more annoying if you ask me. lol.
ironic i had to use youtube to upload the video lol.

It is a hardware lockup. When I have come across this before it was an IRQ conflict. Nvidia cards are well know not to like sharing resources, especially IRQ's. A suggestion is to try disabling hardware acceleration.

Im suspecting video drivers as well ( for some reason the last few have been flakey on everything but gaming ) force the IGP on and try again, this will atleast help narrow it down.
other common issues are:
Chrome itself, so do try another browser to see if it happens there
Wireless card driver. over in toms hardware there were a flood of issues with Atheros and Killer cards. most went and got fresh drivers from the card manufacturer to fix the problems they were having.
Look familiar? http://www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-1627862/computer-freezes-youtube-videos.html
RAM ... doubtful but you can run memtest
a USB device causing board lock. -
Sound more like chrome problem really. Try with clean chrome/FF/IE to rule it out first.
This is what happens every time I go on youtube with my alienware 18! (video included)
